THE INNER ROCKSTAR - FROM GARAGE GIGS TO THE HALL OF FAME

October 3, 2025 – 2:30 PM – Torgersen Hall 2150

Have you ever heard someone say, “If I only knew then what I know now!”? Imagine if you could tap into that “future you knowledge” today—how much smoother would your path to success be? In this seminar, I’ll help you unlock that advantage. Picture yourself as a rising rock star, eager to break into the industry and build a career worthy of the Hall of Fame. But rock stardom isn’t just about one hit—it’s about staying relevant, evolving with the times, and building a legacy that lasts

  • Where do you begin your journey to stardom?
  • How do you make sure your music reaches the right influencers?
  • What sets your sound apart from the crowd?
  • When you score your first big hit, how do you keep the momentum going?
  • And as trends shift, how do you adapt and remain in the spotlight?

I’ll share the “future you knowledge” that can help you thrive: the importance of exceeding expectations, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, my promotion philosophy, and navigating the “politics” of industry. My goal is to equip you with the tools to not just break in—but to build a career that stands the test of time.

Cameron Croll is a husband, father, data enthusiast, and massive Sneakerhead. The son of Paul R. Croll, a renowned computer scientist and IEEE leader, and Carolanne D. Croll, a respected social worker and mentor, Cameron credits his parents for his unique blend of analytical thinking and people skills. Cameron’s career is a testament to embracing the unknown and betting on yourself. From earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and MS in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, he’s never shied away from new career challenges. Whether stepping into the role of Production Supervisor for unionized Pipe Assembly Mechanics or just recently leading strategic sales initiatives at global corporation, Cameron has always open minded to opportunities to learn, lead, and grow. He’s proud of his nearly 18 years as a “Shipbuilder” at Newport News Shipbuilding, his recent contributions to carbon neutrality at Wärtsilä, and—most of all—the diverse experiences, skills, and relationships he’s built along the way. Cameron believes in the power of taking risks, building a strong network, and always striving for personal and professional growth. Now, Cameron is passionate about paying it forward—sharing his journey and insights to help the next generation of rock stars (YOU!) launch their own Hall of Fame careers.
