Alyssa Rametta named one of Forty under 40

Alyssa Rametta, the Industry Relations Manager for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been inducted to the 2025 class of Forty under 40 by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes talent and emerging leadership in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and greater Montgomery County areas.
“I am thrilled that the business community has recognized the exceptional contributions Alyssa has made to the leaders of tomorrow,” said department head Brian Lattimer. “She certainly is a leader today. Our students have benefitted greatly from her wisdom and encouragement, and she is doing critical work as we connect academia more deeply to industry.”
Rametta gained notoriety for her tireless commitment to connect students with career opportunities. While serving at Virginia Tech, she has fostered a culture of professional growth by preparing students for a global job market, connecting business partnerships, providing career advising, and demonstrating community volunteership.
