The student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at Virginia Tech has received a student section achievement award for 2026. According to ASME, the award program is designed to shine a light on the amazing work student sections produce throughout the ASME program year. 

The Virginia Tech student section has achieved standout status for providing programs and activities to help students on campus, producing new ideas, and encouraging classmate involvement.
