Machine shop

The Department of Mechanical Engineering operates a machine shop for producing custom pieces used in research. The shop is not open to the public, and arranging production requires an appointment.

Physical location of the shop is at 501 Industrial Park Road, Blacksburg. Please make arrangements for pickup or dropoff prior to coming to the building.

Blacksburg Transit has stops nearby, subject to schedule changes. As of October 2023, CRC stop number 1651 or MSS stop number 1637 are close options.
