Joseph O’Such, a senior from Leesburg double majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, is the recipient of the spring 2024 Phi Kappa Phi Medallion Award. He received a certificate and a medallion at a ceremony on March 12 at Hillcrest Hall.

O’Such is both a Beyond Boundaries scholar and a Presidential Scholar. During his time as an undergraduate, O’Such has received professional certifications in Amazon Web Services, worked two summers as a software intern with CACI, has been a member of both the Diggeridoos and the human-powered submarine team.

Only one such award is given to each college at Virginia Tech per academic year, and Phi Kappa Phi is the only national society that recognizes excellence across all disciplines. The Honor Society is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society.
