Phaedra Lewis
Director of Operations
Phaedra Lewis comes to the Department of Mechanical Engineering after more than two decades in the Virginia Tech Office of Sponsored Programs. She started with the group in 2001 as an administrative assistant and moved from that job to a team processor, administrator, team leader, and finally assistant director. During her time in OSP, she has been a key leader in the progress of her team, leading the initiative toward a paperless process and navigating through a restructure of the entire division. She also managed a portfolio of $110 million in federal and commercial funds, representing a significant portion of the research enterprise of the university.
