14th Fall Fluid Mechanics Symposium: November 8
October 16, 2025
The 14th Fall Fluid Mechanics Symposium will be held at Virginia Tech on Saturday, November 8th. A full day of presentations will be held in Goodwin Hall on the Virginia Tech Blacksburg campus. The event is open to all interested faculty and students, and there is no registration fee to attend.
This annual symposium offers a view into a wide variety of topics in fluid mechanics being actively investigated by Virginia Tech researchers. Many of the presentations will also be delivered at the American Physical Society (APS) meeting of the Division of Fluid Dynamics (DFD) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE). All presentations will follow a format of 10 minutes for each talk with 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
For this year’s FFMS, Cambridge Computer and Nvidia will be conducting a lunch workshop in collaboration with VT ARC on high-performance computing in fluid mechanics. Lunch is provided for all registered attendees.
