Associate Professor Kevin Kochersberger received the Alumni Award for Excellence for International Outreach from the Virginia Tech Provost at a May 10th reception at the Inn at Virginia Tech. Kochersberger has been active in building the African Drone and Data Academy, a joint project in Malawi between UNICEF and the Government of Malawi to implement drone use for humanitarian purposes.
